Classroom presentation
Performing Esma Redzhepova’s “Chaje Shukarije” for students at the Scoala Waldorf Hans Spalinger in Roshia, Romania. The student population is mostly of Gypsy / Rromani background.

“Meet Your Neighbor’s Folk Music” Assembly program
An all-ages, interactive music and dance tour through many different cultures, ranging from Balkan Gypsy to Jewish and from Scandinavian to French-Canadian.

“Dancing to a Different Drummer” Residency – Workshop program
Students actively increase their awareness of the world and culture by learning traditional dances from many cultures.
For 2nd Graders through College.

“Balkan Beats” Music Residency program
Students explore assymetrical time signatures such as 7/8 and 9/8 as well as scales such as Hijaz and Sabach by learning to perform traditional music from the Balkans.
For students who can play at least a complete major and minor scale.

Homeschool dance recital
Students learn dances from many different cultures and choreograph their recital pieces.

Ethnorobics (tm) dance session
Students dancing Esma’s Pajdushko — getting aerobic exercise while boggie-ing to acoustic music from many different cultures.

Special needs programs
